The Wamego track and field teams took first place on Thursday at the Chapman Invitational.
On the girls’ side, Allison Seufert was first in the 1,600-meter run, while Rachel Darey, Davida Holley, Jennica O’Neill and Brooke Woodward took second in the 4x100 relay.
The 400 run featured a second-place finish by Maddie Vontz, while Keara Lenard was second and Mary Hobbs was third in the 800 run.
Holley was third in the 200, and Kourtney Halksworth was third in the 3,200.
Holley, Lenard, Vontz and Seufert took first in the 4x400 relay. Seufert, Lenard, Vontz and Hobbs took first in the 4x800. Lenard was first in the triple jump.
Holley took first in the long jump at 15-0 and Elizabeth Evans was first in the discus at 115-3. Evans was third in the javelin and first in the shot put.
On the boys’ side, Isaac Poe was first in the 110 hurdles and Trenton York was second in the 100. Jordan Routh was first in the 1,600 with Trenton Butler finishing third.
The 4x100 relay of Matthew Webb, John Sullivan, York and Poe took first. Webb was second in the 400 , while Poe was first in the 300 hurdles with Bradley Borger in second.
Hudson Philip, Routh, Brent Patton and Colton Butler took first in the 4x800. Routh, Colton Butler and Philip went 1-2-3 in the 800.
Webb, Sullivan and Ryan Bates went 1-2-3 in the 200, while Jacob Routh was first in the 3,200 and Brent Patton was third. Webb, Poe, Bates and Dakota Turner were first in the 4x400.
Sullivan was second in the ling jump, while Cody Wilson was first in the javelin.
