Valley Heights girls drop Centralia



At Blue Rapids, Sidney Blackburn scored 15 points and Brandi Roepke added another 11 as Valley Heights scored a narrow 46-44 win over Centralia on Tuesday.

The Mustangs led 16-15 after a high-scoring first quarter, but Centralia led 24-23 at the break.

Valley Heights created some distance in the third quarter, outscoring Centralia 15-9 to go ahead 38-33, and held on to win by two.

The Mustangs are off to a good start this season, now 7-1 with a 5-0 record in the Twin Valley League.
