Police officials have identified the woman injured after her car struck a house on Juliette Avenue Wednesday morning.
Officer Matthew Droge said Jalyssa Florez, Manhattan, had been driving her 2008 Chevrolet Aveo southbound in the 1200 block of North Juliette Avenue at about 8:20 a.m. when she lost control, crossing into a yard on Ratone Street.
Droge said Florez’s car struck a house at 1223 N. Juliette Ave., damaging a side wall and part of the porch.
It is estimated the damage will be more than $1,000, Droge said.
EMS transported Florez for minor injuries to Mercy Regional Health Center.
She was cited for driving too fast for existing road conditions.
