Toddler hurt with BB gun

A 3-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Sunday a few days after he was reportedly hit with a BB gun.

Sgt. Brad Ingalls said an 11-year-old boy, whose relation to the toddler is unknown, accidentally shot the boy on Jan. 9 at a residence on Hartford Road.

Ingalls said the boy was shot in the leg and doctors removed the pellet Sunday.

The incident was filed as an aggravated battery report, but officials said it will most likely be changed to an information report.
