Tickets to upcoming bowl game available on resale websites or from Oregon

By The Mercury

So you’re late to the party on getting tickets for the Fiesta Bowl? It’s still possible to see K-State take on Oregon at 6:30 p.m. Phoenix time Jan. 3 from inside the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.

Even better, there are opportunities that don’t involve traveling to the stadium in the hope of finding tickets on-site. If you have money, there are people willing to take it and ship tickets overnight.

The Fiesta Bowl itself is no longer offering tickets, but many online options still exist for the game and stadium parking. Those include StubHub, the popular ticket resell website, where the lowest priced ticket Friday morning was $72 for a seat in the upper corner of the stadium on the K-State side.

The highest listed prices for tickets are $5,000 and $9,999 to be close to the Oregon sideline. Of course, there are other options on StubHub and other sites that don’t involve selling your car.

A visit to the “tickets for sale” section of the local Craiglist site showed nonstop postings from people looking to get rid of their tickets. The posters range from other ticket resale sites such as to local fans who lucked their way into some extra tickets.

You can also still get tickets through the University of Oregon, which has not sold its allotment. The downside, of course, is you’d have to sit near a bunch of Oregon fans. The upside is they’d have to sit near you.
