Three new teachers have been hired at Flint Hills Christian School – Mr. Zeboriah Carter, Mrs. Nikki Renberg and Miss Jessica Williams.
As the new music teacher, Zeboriah Carter teaches music for all grades from K4 through 12th.
His responsibilities include not only vocal music but also band and praise band.
In addition, Carter teaches seventh grade math. Carter holds a bachelor’s degree of Music in Vocal Music Education and a bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Music Performance with a minor in Theatre/Communications from York College.
He previously taught music in Natoma and Plainsville.
Carter is married, has two young daughters and attends Manhattan Church of Christ.
“I feel like being a teacher is a great responsibility,” said Carter. “In a Christian education environment I also feel it is important to include the Word of God in everything that we teach. Everything that we have is from God and if it is worth knowing then God gave it to us to learn.”
Nikki Renberg starts her teaching career as the school’s fifth grade teacher.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Kansas State University with an emphasis in Spanish.
She did her student teaching at Amanda Arnold and has done substitute teaching in Wamego and Junction City.
A native of Kansas, Renberg and her husband have a young daughter and are active at New Hope Church.
Renberg said, “I believe our students need a good foundation of faith before they enter the world of evangelism. I think Christian schools provide a wonderful foundation and it is our duty to help promote our students to have a strong faith and a quality education.”
Athletic Director and P.E. teacher are the major responsibilities of Jessica Williams.
From Salina, Williams has teaching experience overseas.
She holds bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education and Bible from Emmaus Bible College in Iowa and currently attends Faith Evangelical Free Church.
