Officials said they are investigating a series of thefts from pick-up trucks parked in hotel lots in Pottawatomie County, the most recent reported on Thursday.

Lt. Josh Kyle said that incident occurred in the parking lot of Comfort Suites, 1020 Hostetler Drive, between Nov. 28 and 29.

An employee of Pocono Propane, Richboro, Pa., reported that $1,160 worth of tools were stolen from the bed of the company’s parked truck.

Kyle said those tools included a portable hand saw, toolboxes with wrenches, pliers and cutters and a Sawzall.

No damage to the truck was reported.

Riley County officers became aware of the thefts after the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office released an alert.

The incidents are under investigation.
