By The Mercury

Several construction storage containers and miscellaneous tools were stolen from Cheney Construction Inc. at a job site in the 4400 block of Anderson Avenue.

Lt. Josh Kyle said five containers worth $20,000 and miscellaneous construction items worth $17,000 were stolen from the site. The total loss was $37,000.

The thefts occurred between April and May, but were reported stolen on Monday by Ronald Cheney, the company’s president, Kyle said.

The thefts are under investigation.
