Theft reported at business

By Katherine Wartell

Nearly $27,000 was reportedly stolen from Orange Leaf over a roughly five-month period, and company officials say it could be an internal theft.

Lt. Josh Kyle said the theft was reported by store owner John Sheldon, who said records indicate $26,905 in cash is unaccounted for between the period of Jan. 1 and June 11.

Sheldon suspects an internal theft, Kyle said.

He said the Riley County Police Department is investigating the matter.
