Officials at the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the theft of several electronic items from Wal-Mart and said they have identified two male suspects.
Sheriff Greg Riat said the theft occurred on May 21 at about 9:20 p.m., after two white males, who appear to be in their 20s or early 30s, entered the store in khaki shorts, white shirts and dark ball caps.
Riat said the two suspects were of medium build with short, dark hair.
He said one of the men was more muscular than the other.
Riat said an unknown third person drove a dark, possibly blue, extended-cab pick-up truck, which Riat said might be a late-model Dodge Dakota.
While in the store, Riat said, the suspects allegedly stole Apple iPads, which they placed into camping chair bags.
The two left the store without paying for the items and got into the truck which had pulled up at the front exit of the store, Riat said.
The loss is believed to exceed $7,000.
Anyone with information on these persons, vehicle, or this crime is asked to contact the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office at (785) 457-3353.
