Theft from Sears

An 18-year-old Sears employee was arrested after he allegedly used gift cards from the store to purchase Sears merchandise online.

Riley County officers arrested Braxton Jumper, 210 Ridge Drive, for felony theft Monday. Jumper is accused of fraudulently activating Sears gift cards and using them to purchase online merchandise between Jan. 8 and May 21.

Capt. Kurt Moldrup said Jumper allegedly stole $3,000. He was released from the Riley County Jail on $1,000 bond.
