Thanks for helping to make Pumpkin Patch a success

To the Editor:

The 40th annual Pumpkin Patch Arts and Crafts Fair at CiCo Park, sponsored by Mercy Regional Health Center Auxiliary on Sept. 27 and 28, was a resounding success.  We would like to thank all those who participated in this fundraiser. The proceeds of this event support special projects and programs at Mercy Regional Health Center, including the Mary Lindquist Memorial Scho-larship Endowment Fund for employees seeking professional certifications in their field and general equipment needs at MRHC such as the recliners for patient rooms.

Corporate sponsors were Dara’s in Candlewood, Dillons, Vista and Wal-Mart.

Kitchen and dining volunteers were Harlan and Jolene Graham, Pat Hughes, Almaz Rufael, Andra Thurlow and the dietary folks at Mercy for making everyone’s favorite recipes.

Advertising was handled by Jana Bowman, Sunny 102.5 and Jon Anderson, and local businesses who displayed our flyers

The engineering staff at Mercy and Larry Feldcamp and Ron Springer from the Riley County Fairgrounds took care of maintenance.

A special thank-you goes to Doug Chapman and Mike Greim for sharing their musical talent and to the Trust Fund for sponsoring our Children’s act-ivities.

Thank you exhibitors, Man-hattan and surrounding com-munities for supporting Pump-kin Patch and the Mercy Auxil-iary. We plan to see you next fall at Pumpkin Patch No. 41.
