Thanks for helping make ‘Taste of the ‘Ville’ a success

By Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:

P.E.O. Chapter IL would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the 21 participating Aggieville restaurants and pubs (You know who you are!) for the generous donations of delicious food and beverages that helped to make the third annual “Taste of the ’Ville” in June a huge success.

We would like to thank the Aggieville Business Association for promoting this event from within, and we look forward to continued collaboration. Also, a big shout-out of thanks goes to Varney’s Bookstore for assisting with ticket sales and Ray’s Apple Market for donating paper bags.

In addition, we would like to thank our wonderful community for purchasing tickets in support of women’s education. The funds raised go toward P.E.O philan-thropic endeavors, which in-clude the stewardship of Cottey College, a women’s liberal arts institution in Nevada, Mo. We also assist women through educational scholarships, grants and loans. To see if you or someone you know might qualify for one of these, please visit or phone Virginia Benkelman at 539-4762.

The fourth annual “Taste of the ’Ville” will be Saturday, June 13, 2015.  Save the date, and see you in the ’Ville!
