Teen detained for Hastings theft

Police detained a 17-year-old Manhattan girl for allegedly shoplifting from Hastings and for two drug charges.

Lt. Josh Kyle said officers detained Tiersa Myers, 8525 Tuttle Creek Blvd., for theft, possession of hydromorphone and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kyle said officers were called to Hastings, 628 Tuttle Creek Blvd., at approximately 5 p.m. Thursday after employees of the store suspected Myers had been involved in an alleged prior shoplifting and had returned to the premises.

Kyle said Myer’s detainment led to a minor drug investigation, where it was discovered she allegedly had drugs in her possession.

Myers was released to a parent.
