To the Editor:
Congressional tea partiers are nearly hysterical in their opposition to the Affordable Care Act, and yet all members of Congress are provided excellent health care, paid for by tax-payers.
The larger question, then, is whether citizens of the United States should be afforded a health-care system similar to the one Congress provides its members.
If members of Congress are not of a mind to do so, they should also vote to end their own health care.
Of course, they are not about to do that.
All other developed nations have crafted their own universal health-care systems with the knowledge that a healthy society is a more productive society.
Thus, tea party opposition to the Affordable Health Care Act is hypocritical and certainly not in the best interest of our United States citizens.
