Voters will have at least two open seats to fill on the USD 383 Board of Education next April.
Board member Beth Tatarko said Wednesday she would not seek re-election to the board in the spring. She joins Peter Paukstelis, who announced his decision not to run earlier in the day.
Paukstelis, a board member since 2005, said it has been a pleasure to serve on the board.
In May, the board selected Tatarko, a board member from 2005 to 2009, to assume former board member Doug Messer’s seat. She mentioned in May that she only intended to serve the remainder of Messer’s term and reiterated that position during Wednesday’s meeting.
The term of board member Walt Pesaresi also expires next year. Pesaresi has not yet declared his intentions.
