Riley County police have identified Steven Bryson Lawrence, 20, as the suspected robber in Sunday’s late night armed robbery at Wendy’s on Anderson Avenue.

Officials said Lawrence is the brother of Richard Lawrence, 23, 1430 Cambridge Place, No. 3, who was already arrested for allegedly driving the getaway car Sunday night.

Lt. Josh Kyle said Lawrence is the man who allegedly fled on foot from Richard Lawrence’s SUV in the 2900 block of Dickens Avenue following a police chase Sunday night, after responding officers had observed the SUV leaving the area of Wendy’s.

Kyle said that Lawrence is a black male, 5’7” and 150 pounds, who is still at large and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Richard Lawrence was arrested for aggravated robbery, fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer, obstruction of the legal process and reckless driving. He is confined to the Riley County Jail on $55,000 bond.

Riley County officers also arrested another man, Gilbert Floyd Blizzard Jr., 28, 2422 Charolais Lane, Monday, for allegedly driving Steven Lawrence later in the night to an unknown location.

Blizzard was arrested for obstruction and released on $3,000 bond.
