Survey equipment stolen

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office is investigating the theft of surveying equipment valued at $30,000. On Sept. 21, a surveyor working in the 9000 Block of Junietta Road, Route 5, Manhattan, had set up a survey system alongside the roadway. The surveyor reported that at 11 a.m. he walked away from it for about 10 minutes and upon his return discovered it missing. Taken were the Trimble R8 GPS system, a Trimble HPB 450 radio, a tripod, marine battery, black plastic case and cable.
