Summer program geared to children with autism

To the Editor:
It has become cliché to say it takes a village to raise a child, but for families who are raising a child with an autism-spectrum disorder, it is oh so true. A key component in helping children with autism learn appropriate social behaviors is encouraging relationships with “neurotypical peers.” Call it positive peer pressure, if you will.
