A 14-year-old student reportedly attempted to harm herself Monday afternoon at Manhattan High School West Campus.

Lt. Josh Kyle said school officials became aware of the incident at about 4:30 p.m., when the student was found with a medical situation that required transport to Mercy Regional Health Center.

Kyle did not specify the nature of the incident, but said she was found in one of the school’s bathrooms.

He said the girl was in the process of being transported by Riley County EMS when police arrived.
