By Katherine Wartell

A $10,000 car was set on fire in the 3900 block of Wildcat Creek Road on Saturday. Police said it was later discovered that the car was stolen.

Lt. Josh Kyle said the incident was reported at 10:38 p.m. and that the car, a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt, was unoccupied.

He said officers contacted the owner of the car, Tyauanda Dennis, 19, Junction City, who reported that it had been stolen.

Kyle said the theft had not been reported prior to the incident.
