Stolen jewelry recovered

Riley County detectives recovered $20,000 in stolen jewelry after a perpetrator pawned the jewelry at Manhattan Pawn Shop in early October.

Lt. Josh Kyle said the jewelry is linked to a burglary that occurred in July at the residence of Kathleen Krier, of Russell.

Kyle said detectives filed a reported for theft, possession of stolen property and making false information and are following investigative leads to identify the suspect.

No arrests have been made.
