Stanley Ralph Wilds died April 6 at the Swedish Medical Center in Englewood, Colo. He was born June 11, 1960 in WaKeeney, Kan., the third son of Loren and Darlene Wilds.

Stanley attended grade schools in Quinter, Wamego and Riley.  He graduated from Riley County High School in 1978 and earned both a B.S. and M.S. in geography from Kansas State University.

Upon completion of his master’s degree in 1983, Stanley moved to Denver, where he had a successful career in cartography and remote sensing.  He was the owner and president of Parallels, Inc., a large contractor to the USGS.

Stanley is survived by his wife Kristina and son Luke of the home in Denver; his daughter Alyssandra Gilbert and husband Travis, also of Denver; his mother, Darlene Wilds, of Manhattan and brother Michael Wilds and wife Diane of Kansas City, Mo.; nephews Justin Wilds of Ft. Collins, Colo.;  Spencer Wilds of Manhattan; and niece Victoria Henderson and husband David of Dallas.  He was proceeded in death by his older brother, Elwin Wilds and father Loren Wilds.

Stanley loved his career and took great pride in building his business, was an avid runner and K-State sports fan.  He loved spending time with his children and coached and sponsored many of their activities.

A celebration of Stanley’s life was held on Thursday at Calvary Church of South Denver in Littleton.
