TEMPE, Arizona — Kansas State women’s tennis secured a pair of singles wins on Saturday at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational at the Whiteman Tennis Center.
Junior Amina St. Hill tallied a hard fought three-set win over Sara Remynse of Michigan, 6-4, 6-7 (2), 6-1 in the consolation back draw. The Gothenburg, Sweden, product owns a 5-6 mark this fall and halted a three-match skid with the win. For her career, St. Hill is 25-34 including a 3-7 mark in three-set matches.
Joining St. Hill in the win column on Saturday was freshman Iva Bago. Bago notched a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Tanya Murtagh of Fresno State. In her first season in Manhattan, Bago is 4-6 including a 3-5 record in straight set matches.
Kansas State will conclude action at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational today, with doubles action beginning at 9:30 a.m. (CT) and singles play starting at 10:30 a.m. (CT).
