School false alarms matter, but not monetarily

By Ned Seaton

Q: The Manhattan city government charges fees when firefighters or police have to respond to more than three false alarms at a location in a calendar year. How often has the fire department responded to false alarms at schools? How much in fees, if any, has the school district had to pay the city for false alarm fines?
