Salvation Army grateful for help after 2012 fire

By Letters to the Editor

To the Editor:

The Salvation Army Manhattan Corps would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation for all the support we have received since the store fire in 2012 through the grand reopening Feb. 22 and the ribbon-cutting Feb.y 28.

We want to extend a special thank-you to the members of our advisory board; National Catas-trophe Restoration Inc., BHS Construction, Danker Roofing, and Bowman, Bowman and Novick Inc; the many businesses that donated time and space to us and all the service groups that volunteered to help us clean, sort and move several times (three moves in the past one and one-half years).

Our grand reopening was made exceptional by the wonderful words spoken by state Rep. Tom Phillips and Mayor Pro-Tem Wynn Butler, the brass ensemble from the Salvation Army Kansas and Western Missouri Division and all of our guests.

God bless you!
