K-State track and field coach Cliff Rovelto is offering a high jump coaching clinic in January.
The Cliff Rovelto High Jump Coaching Clinic is set for Jan. 12 with a registration deadline of Jan. 9. Cost of the coaching clinic is $120 per individual and runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s clinic will offer sessions with material ranging from technique and training to strength and power development for the high jump.
Rovelto will conduct the clinic while current Wildcats and post-collegiate athletes training with Rovelto will assist.
Since 1996, Rovelto has served as the personal coach for eight of the potential 15 men’s Olympic Team positions for Team USA with at least one member on each of the five teams. Six of his eight athletes made the Olympic final and two have won silver medals.
Rovelto’s program at K-State has had at least one All-American in the high jump in 20 of his 24 years with a total of 47 All-America honors in that time. Seven NCAA champions have come from Rovelto’s coaching at K-State, along with 10 runner-up finishes and five third-place finishers.
