At Flush, Rock Creek lost its second straight game in a close on Friday night, getting edged by Rossville 36-33.
It was the fifth straight win for Rossville after it survived a test from the Falcons last week. For Rock Creek, it was a better showing after losing to Silver Lake 42-6.
It was a back and forth contest that saw both teams put up big yardage numbers, with Rossville tallying 409 yards of total offense and Rock Creek finishing with 310.
Dalton Catron had a big game for the Bulldogs, going 15-of-27 through the air with 230 yards and two touchdowns.
Tyler Dillon was the leader for Rock Creek rushing for 146 yards on 18 carries.
The Mustangs will take on Kansas City Christ Prep at home next week before opening up district play with back-to-back road games at Marysville and Nemaha Valley. They will end the regular season with a game at home against Riley County.
