Rock Creek tops KC Christian Prep 40-20

By The Mercury

In Stilwell, Rock Creek may have started an hour late, but the change in routine didn’t keep the Mustangs from earning their first win of the season.

Rock Creek scored the first two touchdowns of the game, with Jackson Goodmiller finishing the night with 233 yards and three touchdowns. The game was called after Goodmiller’s final touchdown run because of lightning in the area with 4:01 left in the fourth quarter.

The Mustangs also got a pair of touchdowns through the air on passes to Zac Nider from Brett Hammett. Hammett also had a 2-yard touchdown run. They led 21-13 at halftime.
