Rock Creek splits with Rossville

The Rock Creek softball team split a doubleheader on the road on Tuesday, losing to Rossville 12-2 in Game 1 and beating them 9-1 in Game 2.

The Mustangs (14-6) were held to five hits in the first game and didn’t score a run until the fifth inning. Rossville scored three in the bottom of the fifth to end the game by run rule.

Katie Hodges took the loss in the circle, dropping her record to 7-4 third season. Kelsey Quinn and Caitlyn Larson had doubles for Rock Creek.

Rock Creek scored six runs sin the fifth inning of Game 2 to aid the nine run output. Blair Campbell took the win to go to 7-2 on the year.

Megan Srna, Bailey Elliott, Jessi Snapp and Campbell each had doubles for the Mustangs.
