The Rock Creek and Riley County softball teams met up in Riley on Friday night, with the Mustangs sweeping the series with 4-3 and 8-0 wins.
Rock Creek led 4-0 in the fourth inning of Game 1, before Riley County started making a run back into the game.
Blair Campbell took the win for the Mustangs, striking out five. Jordan Ummel took the loss for Riley County.
Alexis Wilson was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Shannon Caffrey was 2 for 4 with a triple for Rock Creek. Makayla Tegtmeier led the Mustangs with a single and a double.
In Game 2, Rock Creek earned its second shutout win of the season. The Mustangs piled on eight runs on 12 hits.
Brynn Hammett earned the win, striking out five and allowing just two hits. Caffrey was 3 for 4 with a double and a triple Abbie Plummer had two hits and two stolen bases and Hammett had two hits.
Alyssa Kulp and Tegtmeier had the only hits for the Falcons. Tegtmeier was the losing pitcher.
Riley County plays at St. Marys on Tuesday, while Rock Creek travels to Wabaunsee.
