Rock Creek girls rout Hiawatha, 53-23

At Hiawatha, after a slow start against the winless Hiawatha Red Hawks, the Rock Creek Mustangs jumped out to a big lead from the second quarter on in a 53-23 win.

The score was tight after the end of one with an 8-6 lead for the Mustangs, but Hiawatha couldn’t keep up the scoring in the second quarter as they were outscored 17-6 and the Mustangs took a 25-12 halftime lead.

Megan Srna was the leading scorer for the Mustangs with 18 points, while Lizz Herrs added 15.
