Rock Creek finishes sweep of Clay Center

Twenty-seven days after Rock Creek softball defeated Clay Center 7-1 on April 9, the Mustangs finished up the sweep on Monday with a 13-3 win over the Tigers.

Rock Creek scored six runs in the first three innings on the way to a final score that included 16 hits and six extra-base hits for the Mustangs.

Kelsey Quinn had two doubles, while Lauren Overkamp had a home run and Blair Campbell, Alexis Wilson and Megan Srna all doubled.

Campbell took the win for Rock Creek, allowing three runs in five innings, while striking out one.

The Mustangs also swept Wabaunsee on April 30, with 8-7 and 9-8 wins. Campbell was the Game 1 winner, while Winter Henry won the second game. Codi Ebert had a home run and a double in that doubleheader.
