A Wamego man charged with 30 counts of felony theft waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Tuesday in Riley County District Court.

Tracy Roberts, 45, a former executive officer with the Flint Hills Area Builders Association, appeared in court Tuesday afternoon in front of Judge William Malcolm.

He is accused of writing business checks from the builder’s association, 2601 Anderson Ave., for personal use.

Roberts was arrested Jan. 13 on theft charges and was released on bond.

Judge Meryl Wilson will take the case. Roberts is scheduled to be arraigned at 2:30 p.m. on March 10.
