Robbery reported at Westwood Motel

An unknown man is wanted by Riley County police for reportedly robbing the Westwood Motel late Friday night.

Officers responded to the motel, 2108 Fort Riley Blvd., at about 11:05 p.m. Friday, according to a Monday news release.

Police were informed that before they arrived an unknown black male about 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighing about 210 pounds entered the business, demanded money and fled the scene with an unknown amount of money.

At this time, police cannot confirm whether the suspect was armed with a weapon during the crime.

No injuries were reported.

No other details were released.

Police ask those with information to call the Riley County Police Department at 537-2112 or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers at 539-7777. Tips submitted to Crime Stoppers may be anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
