Rob Johnson helps Redskins beat Giants

Former Kansas State defensive end Rob Jackson had three tackles and a sack in primetime action for the Washington Redskins on Monday, as they beat the New York Giants 17-16.

The sack gave the linebacker 2.5 sacks on the season, as he has 26 tackles and two interceptions to go along with it.

Brandon Banks also got into the action for the Redskins on special team, returning three kicks and a punt.

Philadelphia Eagles’ rookie Bryce Brown rushed 24 times for 169 yards and two touchdowns, and caught four passes for 14 yards in the teams’ 38-33 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. It was his second start of the season.

Kansas City Chiefs’ rookie Tysyn Hartman led the team in tackles in its second win of the season on Sunday. Hartman posted a career-high six tackles in the 27-21 win over the Carolina Panthers.

Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman had a decent showing in the Buccaneers 31-23 loss to the Denver Broncos. Freeman finished 18-of-39 for 242 yards and two touchdowns with just one interception.

The Miami Dolphins got a little bit of production from Daniel Thomas in a 23-16 loss to the New England Patriots. Thomas rushed five times for 10 yards and caught two passes for 19 yards.

William Powell rushed four times for 18 yards in the Arizona Cardinals’ 7-6 loss to the New York Jets.

Terence Newman had two tackles for the Cincinnati Bengals in their 20-13 win over the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

The Green Bay Packers got one catch for 10 yards out of Jordy Nelson in their 23-14 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
