Riley County softball splits with Rossville

The Riley County Softball team split with Rossville on Tuesday in Riley.

The Falcons won the first game 9-5. Jordan Ummel earned the win, while Allie Martin had three hits, a triple and a double.

Bri Engle had two hits and a double, and Kerrigan Simons and Emily Brummett each had hits.

Rossville took the second game 18-8, and Makayla Tegtmeier took the loss for the Falcons. Alyssa Kulp had a single and a triple. Ummel had three singles and Mikayla Winter added a hit.

The Falcons are 2-2 on the season. Their next action will be Tuesday against Wabaunsee in Alma.
