Rifle, baseball cards reportedly stolen

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported burglary at a residence north of St. Marys, near Highway 63 and Diamond Road. 

Sheriff Greg Riat said the burglary is alleged to have occurred on April 10, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. The unknown suspect or suspects allegedly forced entry into the residence and stole various items including a .22 caliber Marlin Rifle, as well as basketball and football sports cards. 

Riat said a wallet was stolen and recovered, having been apparently discarded by the suspect in the area of 21st street between Humphrey and Huxman in Silverlake.

Anyone with information on this burglary is asked to call the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office at 785-457-3353. Riat said that callers may remain anonymous.
