The Riley County Police Department is still on the lookout for a 15-year-old girl who has now been missing for nearly a month. Police said they have no leads as to her whereabouts.
Cleotilde Lucero Soto-Garcia, who often goes by Lucero Garcia or Lucy, was last seen on Aug. 30. Police first reported her missing not long after that.
Soto-Garcia, who is a Manhattan High School West student and lives in the northwest portion of Manhattan, is considered an endangered runaway, because according to police, she has disappeared nearly without a trace.
She was last known to be at her residence, and police said she has ties to the Houston area. Det. Richard Lewis said her family recently moved to Manhattan from Texas.
He said there is no indication she was lured from anyone online.
Soto-Garcia is approximately 5 feet, 4 inches tall and 120 pounds with long dark brown and black hair and brown eyes.
When police first reported that Soto-Garcia was missing, they said she was possibly on her way to Houston with a relative or someone she calls her aunt.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department at (785) 537-2112 or Lewis at ext. 3050.
