RCPD honors its own

The Riley County Police Department honored its own at the department’s recent Annual Awards Banquet at the Hilton Garden Inn.

The following employees were recognized: Correction Officer of the Year, Officer John Roche; Supervisor of the Year, Sgt. Doug Wood; Employee of the Year, Computer Technician I Ed Polley; and, Officer of the Year, Officer Mark Cusimano. Correction Sgt. Larry Greinke received the Director’s Award and Officer Spencer Parsons was awarded the Top 10 Percent Award. Life-Saving Award recipients: Sgt. Ryan Flerlage; and Officer Tanner Monroe.

Meritorious Service Award recipients: Officer Matthew Droge and Officer Trevor Wilkey.

Core Value Award Recipients: Integrity, Det. Bobby Dierks; Loyalty, Maintenance Technician II Glen Wilson; Teamwork/Cooperation, Dispatch Shift Supervisor Dawn Wickizer; Initiative, Custodian Brandon Pfister; Empathy, Officer Ondre Miles; Reliability, Officer Sam Shubert; Judgment, Officer John Roche; Professionalism, Officer Casey Beggs.
