At Randolph, the Blue Valley Rams opened their season with an easy 46-0 win over Flint Hills Christian.

The Rams needed just 23 plays and 168 total yards to rack up 46 points, with the game called just a few minutes into the third quarter.

Marshall Carey was the leading rushed for the Rams, running 12 times for 100 yards and two scores. Carey also added two punt return touchdowns, while Chase Carey had a 50-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Blue Valley started Zach Rootring at quarterback, but it didn’t need much production out of him to win. Rootring had one rush for 12 yards and was 1-of-2 passing for three yards.

Blue Valley (1-0) will be out on the road this week as the Rams travel to Linn (0-1) for their Twin Valley League opener. The Bulldogs lost to Hanover on Friday, 48-0.
