ST. GEORGE — The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department announced Monday afternoon it is looking for a missing St. George woman.

Jane Peterson, 56, was reported missing on Sunday morning, Pottawatomie County Undersheriff Shane Jager said.

Jager said Peterson’s 1999 Toyota Tacoma pickup was found Monday in the beach area at Tuttle Cove in Riley County, but Peterson was not with the vehicle.

Jager said at this point, law enforcement officials do not suspect any foul play.

Pottawatomie County deputies and Riley County police have been searching the area to try to find Peterson.

Peterson is described as white, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 120 pounds with brown hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information should call the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office at 785-457-3353 or local law enforcement if Peterson is seen in another jurisdiction.
