Police seek bank robber

Riley County police are looking for a man who robbed Kansas State Bank Wednesday afternoon.

Police surrounded the bank at 1101 Bluemont Avenue after responding to the robbery call at 2:45 p.m.

According to a report from RCPD, the man entered the bank and demanded money from a teller, then took off and headed west on foot. 

Police believe the bank robber is a white male in his 20s or 30s, 5-foot-7 and slim, about 150 pounds.

The man was wearing a hooded Aeropostale purple sweatshirt with the number 87 on its front left corner.

Police said the robber was also wearing an apron around his waist as well as a black T-shirt underneath his hooded sweatshirt.

Based on video surveillance, the man is believed to be driving a white, four-door Cadillac DeVille – the model approximately 2000 to 2005. The vehicle has dark handles, tinted windows and possibly stock rims or wheels.

Representatives of Kansas State Bank would not comment on the incident.
