Riley County police are on the lookout for a man believed to be involved in an armed robbery early Wednesday morning at a Dara’s Fast Lane location in Manhattan. Officers also arrested another man in relation to the crime.
Officials identified the suspect as Frank Joseph Hanson III, a 22-year-old white male who is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and approximately 138 pounds. If Hanson is found, the public is asked to contact the Riley County Police Department. Police warned that people should not approach him as he is considered dangerous.
Officers first responded to the armed robbery at about 1:20 a.m. Wednesday morning at Dara’s,1816 Claflin Road, where employees reported that a male suspect, wearing white and purple shoes, black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a black mask entered the store and stole unspecified items at gunpoint.
On Wednesday night, officers arrested Dennis Denzien, 20, 1838 Anderson Ave., for aggravated robbery in relation to the Dara’s Fast Lane incident after an investigation into a report of criminal damage to property.
Denzien was also arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is confined to the Riley County Jail on $55,000 bond.
With Denzien, police also arrested Patrick Scahill, 20, 1838 Anderson Ave., Wednesday during their investigation into the criminal damage to property investigation.
Martin was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of mushrooms with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, felony possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a firearm.
Scahill is confined to the Riley County Jail on $20,000 bond.
