The Riley County Police Department had its second of a series of six DUI saturation patrols on Friday evening which lasted into the early morning hours of May 18.
Five officers were assigned to the saturation patrol and stopped 49 motorists. Of these, officials said, one was arrested for DUI, one was arrested for driving while suspended and having a warrant and one was issued a citation for transporting an open container of alcohol. Additionally, there was one traffic citation issued and 48 warnings were issued.
The Kansas Department of Transportation provided the funding for the additional enforcement.
