Police: More worthless checks have been filed

Riley County police said three more cases of worthless checks were revealed.

A $244 check for goods and services was written at La Fiesta on Jan. 6, $281 at Dillard’s on Dec. 28, 2011 and $174 worth of miscellaneous goods at Ace Midwest Hardware on Oct. 15, 2011.

The Ace Hardware case is the oldest known case in the investigation.

There are a total of 18 cases.

Lt. Kyle said the cases are being investigated as thefts. The suspect is known and the investigation is ongoing.
