Police investigating report of sexual assault in Ogden

By The Mercury

Riley County police on Tuesday afternoon were investigating a complaint of sexual assault in Ogden between two people who know each other.

According to a report from public information officer Matthew Droge, no arrests had been made as of about 3 p.m.

Ogden Elementary, meanwhile, went under lockout for a short time Tuesday afternoon after police notified the school of a possible dangerous situation in the area.

However, police said that they had not asked the school to go under lockout.

“We have no evidence to support a direct threat to the children or the school itself,” Droge said on Twitter.

Police were not available for comment.
