Pawnee offers new treatment program

By The Mercury

Pawnee Mental Health Services is offering level II intensive outpatient alcohol and other drug treatment in the Manhattan office.

Level II treatment is a structured approach for treating adults who abuse or are dependent on alcohol or other drugs.

Level II, intensive outpatient treatment, provides more structure and support than level I but is less intensive then going to a level III residential program.

Pawnee’s level II program provides nine or more hours of outpatient group treatment and at least one hour of individual treatment per week.  Group sessions focus on early recovery skills, relapse prevention, family education and social support.

Level II outpatient treatment is a six to eight week program.
