Parents sue teen over pencil throw

By Jelani Yancey

The parents of a local teenager have filed suit against another teen seeking damages for injuries they say stemmed from an incident involving the two teens. Henry DeNoble, the teen, and Anne DeNoble filed the suit in Riley County District Court seeking $100,000 from Bryce Irvine and his parents, Michael and Tammy Irvine.

The suit alleges that DeNoble was injured when Irvine threw a pencil at him, striking him in the eye.

The suit did not indicate the extent of injuries to the eye that were sustained, but sought the $100,000 for pain, suffering, mental anguish and past/future medical expenses.
