Freshman guard Michael Orris has elected to transfer from the Kansas State men’s basketball program, head coach Bruce Weber announced Monday.

“Michael has decided to leave K-State,” Weber said in a release.  “Over the past week, he and I have had several discussions about his future and he thinks this gives him the best chance to be successful. ”

A 6-foot-2, 190-pound point guard from Crete, Ill., Orris saw action in 15 games for the Wildcats in 2012-13, averaging 0.3 points on 50 percent shooting with 0.5 assists in 3.3 minutes per game.
